Rivera on lack of primetime games: ‘When you watch us, you’re going to enjoy us’

A lot of Washington Redskins fans might have felt a bit slighted when the NFL schedules were released and their team was not slated to have any primetime games for the first time in over a decade.

It’s understandable that the league wouldn’t want to put a team who just went 3-13 in front of a national audience and risk having average viewers tune out, but it is still a bit of a slight nonetheless.

For Redskins new coach Ron Rivera, this doesn’t matter. He said while talking to military families on a Zoom video call that no matter when Washington takes the field, they’re going to make people enjoy the way they play.

It’s hard to argue that when you consider some of the talented players that highlight the Redskins roster. If you’re given the chance to watch Chase Young, Terry McLaurin, Landon Collins, Derrius Guice, Montez Sweat, and Adrian Peterson on a Sunday at 1 PM ET, are you going to pass that up?
