High street giant River Island has blown shoppers away with a dress people are calling 'perfect for summer'. The fashion retailer has released bucket loads of summer pieces in recent weeks, with a heavy emphasis on tropical palettes and beachy hues.
But one dress in particular has found itself the centre of attention on social media. Posting on Instagram, the fashion brand shared a picture of a gorgeous crochet dress.
The crochet bodycon dress comes in three different colours - white, brown and black, and costs £45. The dress features crochet fabric with a bodycon fit, and has ring details on the shoulders. It is a midi fit and features a split hem.

The dress can be worn as a beach cover up, but can also be dressed up for an evening in the heat - with the right accessories.
If you want to wear it in the day time, style over swimwear with a pair of embellished sandals and floppy hat. For the evening, opt for a chunky pair of heeled sandals (a cork or wooden sole would work well), and pair with some gold bangles.
Captioning the image, River Island wrote: "The perfect outfits for your first visit to the super mercado." It quickly caught the eye of shoppers.

Other people found themselves distracted by the sandals River Island had chosen to compliment the dress. The Gold Rope Detail Chunky Sandals cost £48, and they can only be bought online as they're not available in stores.
