Twitter user Steph G posted a snap of the water on the walkway in , she tweeted: "Govan earlier today & I can't remember the Clyde being this high across from the Transport Museum."
While the Glasgow Humane Society said there may be debris under the water which may cause people harm.
The lifeboat organisation tweeted: "These were the water levels at high tide today under the Caledonian Railway Bridge & the George V Bridge.
"Please don’t attempt to walk through this as there may be debris under the water & the current is exceptionally strong."
