Scots actor Paul Brannigan will appear in court today after a man was attacked on New Years Day.
River City and Angels' Share star Brannigan was arrested following the alleged incident in Stamford Street, Glasgow at around 10.20am.
Cops confirmed they attended the scene after receiving reports that a 29-year-old man had been injured.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
33-year-old Brannigan was arrested in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10:20am on Wednesday 1 January 2020, police received a report a man had been injured in Stamford Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and a 29-year-old man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
"A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday 3 January 2020. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
