A River City actor has been left 'beside himself' after his adorable collie pup went missing.
Iain Robertson posted a desperate plea for help on social media after his pet wandered off on Thursday.
Taking to Twitter in the early hours of Friday morning, the Scots actor said the pup hasn't been seen for hours.
The collie, which is only four months old, is said to look like an arctic fox.
Appealing to his 17,000 followers, Iain said: "My dog has just taken herself off for a wander. I’m beside myself with worry - if you see a wee Collie that looks like an arctic fox, gonnae shout me up?
"She’s only four months old, she’s smart as a tack - but out of the blue tonight she’s wandered off & it’s been hours since I last saw her."
It's understood the Glasgow actor is yet to track down the pup.
Fans have flooded in with messages of support and ideas for getting his much-loved pet back home.
One said: "Oh no. She’s so beautiful. I hope she gets home safely - and soon."
Another added: "Really really sorry to hear that, mate. If you're out and about in the wilderness, maybe leave an item of clothing where you last saw her? Can help her to pick up the scent."
"Aw no hope she gets back safe. She’s a wee beauty", commented one.
