Nottingham Forest get their season going again on Saturday with a much awaited trip to Hillsborough.
Fifth placed Reds will be hoping to strengthen their foothold in the Championship play-offs by securing the full three points against Sheffield Wednesday, who are ten places and 12 points behind Forest ahead of the weekend’s clash.
Although like all games it will be strictly behind closed doors, the Owls are hoping to gain a bit more home advantage by offering supporters the chance to be at the final five home games of the season - sort of.
Wednesday are the latest club to offer fans the chance to buy cardboard cut-outs of themselves.
These would be present in the North Stand during all remaining home games, with supporters then being able to collect their memento upon the season’s conclusion.
A club statement said: “All games will be played behind closed doors - but you can still be represented in S6 by virtue of a correx cut-out of yourself to be displayed in the North Stand.
“Our ‘Fan in the Stand’ campaign is designed to fill the seats with familiar faces whilst giving you the chance to play your part in the supporting the club both on and off the pitch from the comfort of your own home!”
The club is charging £25 for the scheme, which involves supporters uploading a photo of themselves in matchday gear.
The announcement comes on the day that the Owls unveiled a range of rebate options for season ticket holders.
One of the options allows ST holders to watch all the remaining games (including away matches) on its iFollow service, along with vouchers to spend on merchandise and tickets.
