Rival fans make the same joke as Anthony Joshua fight is confirmed for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

It is now official and Anthony Joshua will be fighting Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

The world heavyweight showdown has been confirmed to take place at Tottenham's new stadium in London on June 20, with a contract signed for the bout.

It will be Joshua's first fight in London since September 2018, when he beat Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium.

And it will be the first boxing fight at the 62,000 seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with organisers hoping this will be the first of many at the multi-purpose stadium, which has also hosted NFL games.

Jose Mourinho: I think we are too good, too nice

Tottenham were competing with north London rivals Arsenal to host the fight, after Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn recently confirmed that it was a battle between the two clubs over where it would be staged.

But while Spurs have won the battle to host the fight, Tottenham's rivals have been quick to mock them following the confirmation of the date and time.

Here's what they have been saying on social media.

There had been suggestions that Joshua could face Tyson Fury in an all-British unification fight after his recent victory against Deontay Wilder, but the American has activated a clause in his contract for a rematch.

As such, Joshua's next fight is now set to be against Pulev, with the Bulgarian the mandatory challenger.

And the Watford fighter will put his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight championships on the line against Pulev.
