Rival fans are saying the same thing about Leeds United and Arsenal amid FA Cup third round tie

It may be Premier League vs Championship as Arsenal host Leeds United in the FA Cup third round, but the Whites have certainly impressed against the Gunners.

Indeed, Match of the Day host Gary Lineker and BBC pundit Alan Shearer said that fans would find it hard to tell which of the two teams were in the Premier League, such was Leeds' dominance in the first half.

Marcelo Bielsa's men are unfortunate not to be in front, after testing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez on several occasions, with Patrick Bamford hitting the crossbar as the Championship leaders pushed for the opening goal at the Emirates Stadium.

In total, Leeds had 15 attempts at goal in the opening half of the contest, while Arsenal had just three in contrast, with just one on target.

And Leeds' performance has certainly impressed the neutrals, with the game being broadcast live on BBC One.

Here's what some rival fans have been saying about the Whites, including Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester United supporters.

But both Shearer and Arsenal legend Ian Wright said that the fact Arsenal are level at the break was the positive for the Gunners, with Wright describing Leeds' performance as "phenomenal."

"They look like a team that is tired, and leggy," said Wright, speaking on BBC Sport at half time.

"Leeds are not giving them an inch, just look at the pressure on them. There aren't many options for Arsenal and it is very disheartening to see Arsenal playing like this."
