Rival fans all say the same thing after Sean Morrison's 'disasterclass' against Liverpool

Sean Morrison was at the heart of the action at the weekend as Liverpool defeated Cardiff City 2-0.

And comments made by the Bluebirds captain from earlier in the season have since resurfaced online, and Manchester City fans aren't happy.

Speaking in October, ahead of his side's Anfield visit, Morrison was asked who he thought would win the Premier League.

The central defender said: "It's a tough one to call. I'd love Liverpool to win it.

"I would love Liverpool to win it just because for them to get a Premier League would be fantastic for the club and for the city.

Moments later Morrison was presented with a huge chance to level things up from a yard out, but the ball bounced off his back and away from goal.

The 28-year-old later fouled Mohamed Salah inside the box and referee Martin Atkinson pointed to the spot.

James Milner coolly added Liverpool's second to send Jurgen Klopp's side top of the league.

Man City fans who were perhaps hoping for a title race favour from the Welsh club took to Twitter to express their annoyance.

Supporters of other clubs were also fuming, one fan wrote: "Every helping hand they're getting this season."

One fan wrote: "If we do win the league give Sean Morrison a medal" while another said: "Give the lad a contract".

Liverpool supporters on the other hand showed Morrison their appreciation.
