Rita Ora to return to UK to film Masked Singer after quitting Britain for LA

Rita Ora is set to jet back home for the first time in nine months after moving to LA.

The 30-year-old hit maker has been tempted away from her new life in the States to return as a judge for the third series of The Masked Singer UK.

The Let Me Love You singer is reportedly planning a two-week trip back to Blighty for filming from next month.

Rita has not been seen in the UK since she sparked public backlash over her Covid rule-breaking 30th birthday party last November.

She then failed to return for the spin-off of The Masked Dancer, instead being replaced by Oti Mabuse.

But a source close to Rita told The Sun : “She loves doing the show and though she has set up a new life in LA, she was determined to still take part.

“She has been out of the UK for the whole of 2021 but she won’t be back for long because at the moment the trip is only scheduled for a fortnight."

The Voice Australia judge, who plans to make LA her main home, also told how it was 'really important to her' to catch up with family and friends when heading back to Britain.

The source added:“The events of last year very much tainted the UK for her. She sees this as a working trip. LA is her home now.”

Rita relocated stateside despite shelling out £7.5million on a swanky North London home at the start of 2021.

But during a stint down under she appears to have been swept up in a whirlwind romance after meeting with Kiwi film director Taika Waititi when filming The Voice Australia.

Hawk-eyed fans of the singer took to social media to share they were convinced the pair had got engaged after just six months of dating, when she posted a snap of her hand with the ring finger craftily obscured.

And she is clearly in demand for work after the huge success of The Voice Australia which was a ratings smash for Channel Seven.

Fellow judge Guy Sebastian has already signed on for next year's season, according to New Idea, but producers are still working on getting Rita, 'over the line'.
