The pair are now back in London, and according to The Sun, the singer has introduced Taika to her family.

Sources also say that the couple are "really serious" after Rita made their relationship Instagram official when she posted a selection of snaps of the two of them at the award ceremony.

Taika split from his wife of six years, Chelsea Winstanley, in 2018 after the couple had two daughters together.

The Kiwi couple tied the knot in 2012 after meeting when Chelsea interviewed Taika for a TV documentary series on Maori artists.

After the split, she told the New Zealand Herald: "I'm just sick of women portrayed as living in the shadow of their partners, that's all.

"I made one film with him, I was a film-maker before I met him and I continue to do my own stuff."

Rita had previously been dating French-Greek filmmaker Romain Garvais – with the couple confirming they had split back in March this year.
