Rita Ora helicopters out of Glastonbury in silk pyjamas as mass clean up begins

Rita Ora was among the celebrities making a mass exodus from Glastonbury Festival after a weekend of partying.

The singer, 31, was papped among the crowds at Worthy Farm and shared a number of snaps of her VIP exploits with fans on Instagram.

But after days on the farm, it was finally time to pack up and head home as Rita revealed her very stylish exit.

The Poison singer was spotted taking a helicopter ride while dressed in a pair of silk pyamas.

Rita confirmed her departure posting snaps of the chopper with the caption "bye Glastonbury".

The award-winning musician followed up with a selfie of herself from inside her ride wearing what appeared to be a pair of dark silk pyjamas for the outbound trip.

Rita - who is engaged to filmmaker Taika Waititi, 46 - accessorised the casual look with necklaces and a pair of sunglasses and a pair of aircraft headphones on too.

She later shared a similar selfie, which was also taken in the back of the helicopter. They appear to have been taken ahead of her departure from Worthy Farm yesterday.

Rita isn't the only attendee to have now left the farm, with the festival having come to a close last night - meaning the extensive annual clean-up operation has begun on site.

It's been reported that more than 200,000 people attended the five-day festival, with tents, plastic bags, food containers and cans among the items being cleared from the farm.

There were a host of other celebrity attendees, including fashion designer Stella McCartney, 50, model Kate Moss, 48, as well as model-turned-actor Cara Delevingne, 29.

They posed for a selfie with singers Bruce Springsteen, 72, and Noel Gallagher, 55, who had both been among the acts who performed at the festival in Somerset this year.

The line-up also included Stella's dad Paul McCartney, 80, Billie Eilish, 20, and Kendrick Lamar, 35, who all headlined the festival. Diana Ross, 78, was instead in the legends slot.

The annual five-day festival returned last week from June 22 to 26, with the two previous instalments of it having been cancelled by organisers due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The festival had been due to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2020, though because that event was cancelled, this year has been an occasion to mark the history of Glastonbury.

There was coverage of this year's festival through BBC platforms. You can catch up on performances on the BBC iPlayer.
