Rita Ora 'forced into 2-week hotel isolation' before The Voice Australia

Rita Ora will have to quarantine in a hotel room for two weeks as she flies out to Australia to work on The Voice.

The singer, 30, will reportedly leave the UK next month to fly down under to work as a coach on the talent show, but she will have to follow the country's strict travel rules when she gets there.

She has caused huge controversy in recent months after throwing her 30th birthday party at a posh London restaurant in the middle of the November lockdown, which banned gatherings and was meant to force hospitality venues to close.

It's thought that a small number of celebrities like Tom Hanks and Matt Damon have been given exemptions from Australian quarantine rules to allow them to travel for filming projects.

But Rita will have to quarantine like any other traveler, it's claimed.

A source told The Sun : "It's obviously a bit of a pain but she knows she will have to do it just like everyone else."

The insider added: "As soon as she has got to Australia she will go straight to a hotel for a full two weeks, and won't leave her room – things will be brought to her and she will have to get on with things online and via the phone until she's allowed to leave for filming to start.

"She's had enough controversy after the birthday incident so just wants to keep her head down now and get back to work."

Rita's rep declined to comment when contacted by The Mirror.

Rita celebrated her 30th birthday at Casa Cruz in London's Notting Hill in the middle of lockdown.

At a licence review application for the restaurant brought by the Met Police this week, the restaurant's boss claimed Rita's team offered him £5,000 to break Covid rules and host the party.

According to the review, a CCTV blackout was enforced at Casa Cruz while Rita's celebrity friends made their entrances back in November.

Rita shared a grovelling apology with her fans after she was slammed over the party on social media.

She said she was "deeply sorry" for the "inexcusable" party which she insisted was a "spur of the moment".
