'Risk' - Liverpool forward mocks Nottingham Forest 'target' with transfer advice

One player linked with a move to Nottingham Forest this summer is striker Mbaye Diagne.

The Galatasaray forward is currently on loan at Belgian side Club Brugge, but has struggled for game time.

Reports in recent weeks have claimed that the Reds are preparing to make a summer move for the striker.

It has been reported that Sabri Lamouchi’s side are preparing an 8m euro offer for the striker, in a bid to strengthen their attacking options for the new campaign.

Fresh reports from Turkey claim that Galatasaray are keen to offload Diagne to Forest this summer, as they look to sign midfielder Mario Lemina on a permanent deal from Southampton.

Diagne was top scorer in Super Lig last season with 30 goals, and has netted four goals in six league matches on loan at Club Brugge and played in the Champions League.

It was in the Champions League earlier this season where the 28-year-old was in the middle of a controversial incident at Club Brugge.

The striker missed a penalty in the Champions League group stage match against Paris Saint-Germain in November, and was later fined and dropped by manager Phillipe Clement, after he took the spot kick himself instead of designated taker Hans Vanaken.

Now Liverpool forward, and Diagne’s Senegal team mate, Sadio Mane has made reference to his friend’s controversial moment during a conversation on Instagram Live.

The pair were discussing all things football, when Mane advised Diagne not to return to his former club Juventus, who he failed to make a single appearance for between 2013-2015.

"If you sign to Juve, you risk arguing all the time with Cristiano (Ronaldo), because he will not let you shoot the penalties,” Mane is quoted of saying on Instagram Live.
