'Risk it' - Sheffield Wednesday injury update on quartet ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Sheffield Wednesday head into next weekend’s Championship clash with Nottingham Forest in a woeful run of form.

The Owls have won just one of their last 10 in all competitions and were on the wrong end of a 5-0 thumping against Brentford on Saturday.

Pressure appears to be mounting on boss Garry Monk, who is now preparing his side for next weekend’s game with Forest at Hillsborough.

Sabri Lamouchi will be hoping for an improved performance from the 3-0 defeat they suffered at home to Millwall on Friday night, while also having a sense of revenge in his mind after the Owls won 4-0 at the City Ground in December.

Whether Wednesday star striker Steven Fletcher and Kieran Lee are fully fit and available remains unclear. Julian Borner and Massimo Luongo could come back into the fold, though.

“He (Fletcher) is not fully fit,” Monk told Yorkshire Live after the Brentford loss. “He got some more minutes on the pitch today. He needed that.

“We took him off because of tiredness.”

Monk added: “Kieran Lee not so (close to featuring against Brentford).

“Julian felt a little bit tight in training yesterday so we couldn't risk it.

“He should be back and available next week.

“Massimo has trained in the last few days. If all goes well next week, then he should be available as well.”
