Hard-hitting Gor Yeritsyan of Yerevan, Armenia, can’t wait until his biggest test yet when he faces Luis Alberto ‘Lucho’ Veron on November 9, 2023 fight.
“Everyone knows that winning by a knockout is what the fans want to see. I’ve won 14 of 16 fights via stoppages and I think public loves that. I don’t take winning by KO for granted but if a knockout presents its self I will absolutely take it,” said Gor Yeritsyan (16-0, 14 KOs) in media reports.
The durable ‘Lucho’ Veron (20-7-2, 9 KOs) will be the young Armenian fighters toughest test yet. The fight will take place at Madison Square Garden— the most historic boxing venue in America.
“I cannot put into words how excited I am to be fighting in New York City, Madison Square Garden is the ultimate goal. Fighters-athletes and entertainers dream of performing there and here I am weeks away from my biggest fight to date under their iconic roof. Its a huge honor.
“My parents are flying over from Armenia and will be ringside. I am going to put on a great show for the fans. Its my chance to prove that I belong. Everything is aligned in my favor.
The strong puncher is looking to close out the year with a bang on the path to a world title fight.
“I know that the future holds many more key moments for me but right now this is the most pivotal moment. This is a fantastic way to close out a great year,” said Yeritsyan.
The eight-round contest will be on the undercard of the ‘King’ Callum Walsh vs. Ismael Villarreal title fight at the Madison Square. Walsh is Ranked No. 16 by the World Boxing Council (WBC), the native of Cork, Ireland returns to defend his WBC US Silver super welterweight title.
