Ellie McLaren is going to go far. She’s taken the opportunity offered by an apprenticeship at Events & PR in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. Within a year, she’s been taken on full time as an events co-ordinator and is responsible for two members of staff. She has become a vital and invaluable part of the company with a enviable work ethic.
Our awards events are held in the evenings and they would not run so smoothly without her cool head and unflappable intelligence. She is diplomatic and an impressive representative of Events & PR in front of clients at all levels of organisations, including nominees, high profile sponsors and key individuals.
She is also willing to learn new skills and has shown that in abundance as she leads her team. Ellie had decided to go to college and had been accepted but at the same time got offered an apprenticeship, and chose that.
Ellie has repeatedly shown initiative, she makes clear-headed decisions and clearly communicates them. We haven’t measured Ellie’s effect on the company’s growth. But I am absolutely sure that if we took the time to quantify it, she has been one of the best investments Events & PR has ever made and has repaid it many times over. Ellie would make a fine role model for other young people.
