Andres joined the Rare Pink team shortly after we started the business. The role we planned for him was to promote the website. The problem was, we did not yet have any website to promote and we were running out of money. In response, for over a year, Andres took the initiative and got deeply involved in almost every other aspect of the business, operations, diamond ordering, hiring, website development and he even let us work from his home for over a year.
As soon as we raised investment and got on our feet again, his role changed again. Upon launching RarePink.com in October 2013, Andres took on the role he always wanted with the same enthusiasm and passion he has shown throughout his time with Rare Pink. Not only is he managing a team within Rare Pink, he is also outsourcing and working with over 15 other designers, developers and content writers from around the world. On his morning commute, Andres devours books relating to marketing and business development, sharing his insights with me and our team in meetings and over lunch.
He is also extremely passionate about the vision of the company and as such we have invited him to sit on the board of directors where he regularly contributes on our future plans, strategy and his ideas for our company culture. He is enthusiastic not only about the financial success of the company, but also about making Rare Pink an amazing place to work.
