Rise in coronavirus cases across Nottinghamshire on Saturday, June 6

Public Health England has released the latest coronavirus figures for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The figures, released on Saturday, June 6, show a slight rise across the area compared to Friday, June 5.

Across the UK, there has been a total of 284,868 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19.

The death rate now sits at 40,465 - a rise of 204 on the previous 24 hours.

On Friday, June 5, the number of lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus within the city of Nottingham was at 612, which has risen by two to 614.

In Nottinghamshire, the number of cases increased from  1,437 - a rise of eight new cases to 1,445 cases.

Across the East Midlands, there is currently 9,366 coronavirus cases.

The East Midlands is the second-lowest region for coronavirus cases, with the South West seeing the lowest amount at 7,818.

The highest number is London at 27,124 cases.
