'Riot police' swoop on 'crowd shouting and screaming' in Falkirk

Cops have been called to deal with an incident in a street in Falkirk.

Officers, some reportedly wearing riot gear, arrived at the scene on Gairdoch Street just before 9pm tonight.

Three police cars and three vans were spotted racing to the area.

It’s understood at least one person has been taken away by officers.

The nature of the incident isn’t know, but locals say at least 20 people have gathered on the street.

One person said: “I opened the door to take the dog out a walk and all I could see was a massive group.”

“They were all shouting and screaming.”

“It was something like 'get the out here'.”

Police Scotland have confirmed they’re in attendance.
