Riot Fest will be headlined by My Chemical Romance this year, organizers announced Wednesday.
“We’re tired of you asking, so we’re bringing My Chemical Romance to Riot Fest,” organizers wrote on the festival’s website.
My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013. The band announced a handful of live shows, its first since disbanding, in October 2019, but on Wednesday unveiled the schedule for a full reunion tour. The tour hits to the U.S. in September, but there is no Chicago show on the schedule outside of Riot Fest.
The Douglas Park festival will take place from Sept. 11-13. No other acts have been announced so far.
“Early bird” three-day passes are currently on sale for $124.98, but the price will increase, Riot Fest said.
