
The 15th anniversary of the Chicago music festival runs Sept. 13-15 in Douglas Park.
The lineup for the 15th anniversary of Riot Fest boasts blasts from the past, returning favorites, long-awaited reunions and plenty of new faces, too, it was announced Wednesday.
After canceling their gig at last year’s fest due to health reasons, Blink-182 is back. Also returning are fest faves Bloc Party, Flaming Lips, Rise Against and Ween. A reunited Bikini Kill are also slated for the fest, which runs Sept. 13-15 in Douglas Park.
Punk rock legend Patti Smith & Her Band, thrash metal icons Slayer (performing in what’s billed as their “final Chicago show”), the Raconteurs, Manchester Orchestra, Violent Femmes, Die Antwoord, Jawbreaker, the B-52s in “their last Chicago show,” and the newly reunited Avail are also scheduled to perform.
Three-day passes, $129.88 apiece, for the fest are now on sale at eventbrite.com.

Thirteen full album performances are set for the fest including vintage favorites such as “Over the James” by Avail (celebrating the 21st anniversary of the album’s release), “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots” (released in 2002) by the Flaming Lips,“ Silent Alarm” (noting its 15th anniversary) by Bloc Party and “The Mollusk” (celebrating its 22nd year) by Ween.
