Rio Ferdinand admits he would 'seriously consider' taking up a coaching role at Manchester United.
The 43-year-old former England defender turned BT Sport pundit has featured prominently in the media ever since he hung up his boots in 2015 - having made 455 appearances during a successful 12-year spell at Old Trafford.
During that time, Ferdinand won six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2008, forming one of the most colossal defensive partnerships in United's history - alongside Nemanja Vidic - the former West Ham and Leeds United also won 81 caps for the Three Lions.
Previously tipped for a director of football role by younger brother, Anton, the elder Ferdinand sibling has as things stand resisted any temptation to step into coaching.
However, if United ever came calling, that would present a whole different proposition and conundrum.
Speaking on his popular Vibe With Five podcast, Ferdinand said: "Of course. I probably would.
"We'll have to see what the deal looks like!
