Rio Ferdinand seemed to be as agitated as any Manchester United fan during Wednesday night's Champions League defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Turkish champions made United their first ever Champions League scalp with the 2-1 victory, with former Premier League forward Demba Ba opening the scoring when he was given the freedom of half of the pitch thanks to shocking United defending.
Edin Visca doubled Basaksehir's lead before the break, but there was still time before the half-time whistle for Anthony Martial to pull a goal back for United.
However, any expectation that the strike would result in a comeback from the visitors would prove to be short-lived, as Basaksehir held on for a hard-fought victory.
As well as Ba, their win was achieved thanks to the help of some familiar Premier League names, with former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel starring at centre-back and ex-United right-back Rafael de Silva also impressing.
The Brazilian, now 30, left United for Lyon back in 2015, and Ferdinand still feels that was the wrong decision judging by a tweet he sent during the game.
Towards the end of the match the former England defender simply wrote: "We should never have sold Rafael. #facts."
He would also later congratulate the full-back on the victory, which sees Basaksehir draw level on three points with Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League Group H, although still bottom on goal difference.
In addition to his words about Rafael, Ferdinand tweeted his dismay at the manner of Ba's goal.
Tweeting an image of Ba about to score, he wrote: "The goals against us....please tell me someone is going nuts in that changing room and people are being made accountable.
"The shape of the team when we lose the ball for the 1st goal..."
