Rio Ferdinand reveals what Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo keeps in his house

Rio Ferdinand has revealed Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo has a team of staff and an object to radiate 'energy' in his house.

Ronaldo, 36, sealed a sensational return to United on deadline day, signing a two-year contract with the option of another year.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner couldn't have wished for a better start to life back at United either, as he's now scored four goals across three games and his most recent strike gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's an equaliser away at West Ham on Sunday.

Ronaldo has enjoyed a genuinely world-class career and, despite being in the autumn of his playing days, he will still greatly contribute on the pitch for United this term, so what's his secret?

Well, Ferdinand has revealed Ronaldo has some unorthodox items in his house.

“I went round his house once and I walked in and he had about six or seven people sitting in the front room. I said to him, ‘Cris, who are all these people" Ferdinand recalled to William Hill.

"He said, ‘that’s my personal masseur, my nutritionist, my doctor, my physio, my chef'. He had all these people and back then no one was doing that in the game. So, he was a visionary in that sense. He knew what it was going to take.

"If people were laughing at him for doing those extras at one time, by the time he got to be World Player of the Year, they were saying I’m going to copy that - sometimes you’ve got to go against the grain and be a bit of a disruptor.

“He will have objects in the back of his room if we’re on Zoom and I say, ‘What’s that?’ He’ll go, ‘that’s the energy for the room.’ Mad stuff like that and I just think, ‘this guy is different.’ He’s just looking for every little detail that’s going to enable him to improve."
