Rio Ferdinand responds as BT Sport reminds him he never won the FA Cup with Man Utd

Rio Ferdinand had a short and sweet response to being reminded that he never won the FA Cup with Manchester United.

Ferdinand played in the 2007 FA Cup final in which the Red Devils were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea.

Ahead of this season's final between the Blues and Leicester City, Ferdinand was asked for his feelings on having never won the world's oldest cup competition.

He responded on BT Sport: "It still grates, definitely.

"I'm sitting here looking at it [the trophy] and I want to launch it!

"They were bad moments. All the things - I was lucky enough to win quite a lot of stuff in my career, but I tell you, I probably spend more time even in retirement thinking about not getting my hands on that trophy."

A video of the clip was then posted to Twitter, which was shared by Ferdinand, who included an angry face emoji.

Ferdinand might not have got his hands on the FA Cup, but as he himself mentioned, his career was vastly decorated.

The former United centre-back won the Premier League title a staggering six times as well as the League Cup on three occasions.

Arguably, Ferdinand's greatest moment for United came in 2008 when the Red Devils won the Champions League.

Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United beat Premier League rivals Chelsea in Moscow.
