Rio Ferdinand predicts what Cristiano Ronaldo will be thinking amid Manchester United struggles

Cristiano Ronaldo will continue to lead the way in demanding more from everyone at Manchester United.

That's the verdict from his former Old Trafford teammate, Rio Ferdinand, who has given an insight as to what the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be thinking after United slipped to a first defeat under Ralf Rangnick.

United produced another underwhelming display as they were beaten by Wolves last night.

It was Joao Moutinho who struck the decisive blow, while the Premier League giants did go close to rescuing a point when substitute Bruno Fernandes struck the crossbar.

Ronaldo, 36, has already scored 14 goals since returning to United after 12 years with Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, amid an intense battle to finish in the top-four ahead of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham, the former Real superstar will keep on setting the example at Carrington and on matchdays - according to Ferdinand.

Speaking on the latest episode of his Vibe With Five podcast, he said: "I don't think it [leaving] will be on his mind. What's on his mind is the now and getting this right.

"He will be doing his utmost on that training ground and in the 90 minutes, as well, to rectify this situation - as will the other players."

Ferdinand added: "As you say, body language is an issue. It's hard to pinpoint one player there. You can't.

"All the players have to take responsibility here, from Cristiano at the top all the way down to the other players. The players, they are all accountable. I think Cristiano will be the first to hold his hands up and say; 'We have all got to do better'. I don't think we can say it's one player."
