Rio Ferdinand names the player who was 'embarrassing' during Everton vs Tottenham

The FA Cup came alive at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

The world's greatest domestic cup competition has been criticised for losing its magic in the last few years, but there was some entertainment on offer as Everton took on Tottenham in the fifth round clash on Merseyside.

The two Premier League teams went at it hammer and tongs in the first half, with five goals going in.

Tottenham deservedly opened the scoring through a Davinson Sanchez header and were comfortable until a seven-minute Everton burst in which they scored three times - through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlisan and a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty.

Erik Lamela reduced the arrears right on half-time to set up a pulsating second half.

There were defensive mistakes galore, but one goal in particular got Rio Ferdinand's back up on BT Sport.

Calvert-Lewin's equaliser came as a result of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg giving the ball away and then Hugo Lloris palming the frontman's stinging effort into his own net.

And it was the goalkeeper who bore the brunt of Ferdinand's ire.

He said: "That's embarrassing, that's an embarrassing effort. He has almost fallen back into his goal. It's a powder-puff effort, weak and he will be disappointed, I'm sure, as well as Spurs fans and players."
