Rio Ferdinand makes cheeky joke as he poses with his pregnant wife on holiday

Loved-up Rio Ferdinand made a cheeky joke as he posed for a photo with his pregnant wife as they enjoyed a family holiday.

Kate posted the snap of the pair in swimwear on her Instagram, and the compliments came flooding in for the radiant mum-to-be who looked stunning in a black and gold patterned bikini teamed with a wide-brimmed straw hat.

"Glowing beautiful mumma to be," said her former TOWIE co-star Billie Faiers.

"Beautiful mummy," said another follower.

But Manchester United icon Rio couldn't resist pulling her leg.

"Looking STUNNIIIIIIIIIIIIING....in the black shorts," he said, jokingly turning the attention to his own beach outfit.

The 41-year-old pundit posted a stream of crying with laughter-face emojis and love hearts next to the jokey comment.

Kate, 29, also proudly showed off her bump in a pale green dress and heels as she enjoyed a night out on holiday.

"Don’t be fooled by this pik," she wrote.

"By the end of the night the feet were swollen, the heels were off and the bed was calling."

Alongside another photo of herself and her hubby she wrote "my love" next to a yellow loveheart to match her dress.

Kate recently told followers their holiday was "one last trip before school starts."

"The baby seems to like a holiday," she added.

In June the doting stepmum shared the exciting news that she was expecting her first child with Rio by posting a video of the moment she told Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine, Rio's children with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.

The couple, who married last September, were sitting around the table chatting when Kate told them.

They jumped to their feet and the family cheered and hugged as they shared their joy.

Kate and Rio, 41, started dating in 2017 and the couple married in September 2019.

Their story featured in the documentary Rio and Kate: Becoming a Stepfamily.

It followed Rio's emotional BAFTA-winning 2017 documentary Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad, which followed the footballer having to come to terms with losing his wife and being the sole parent to their children.
