Rio Ferdinand says Jan Oblak is the only man capable of replacing David de Gea between the sticks for Manchester United.
But the Red Devils legend warned that the Atletico Madrid shot-stopper would cost a small fortune, suggesting United should just stick with the Spaniard.
De Gea has made a number of costly mistakes this season; failing to keep out a strike in United's draw with Tottenham, and fumbling another ball into his own net in the FA Cup defeat by Chelsea on the weekend.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a decision to make as to whether he will drop De Gea for the Red Devils' next fixture, but Ferdinand says the club should probably stick by him for now.
Ferdinand told BT Sport: "He [De Gea] has had a bad spell, confidence is low, but does that mean you go out and get rid of him? Who are you gonna get?
"Who is out there who is actually able to be bought right now and who is going to be a world-class goalkeeper right now at Manchester United?
"The only one I see is [Jan] Oblak, but can you get him out of Atletico Madrid? And if you do how much are you going to have to spend?
"An obscene amount of money. I say stick with him [De Gea], he has earned that right to be stuck with."
