Confident Rio Ferdinand all-but England Euro 2020 winners - moments after Italy booked their place in the final.
It was a dramatic night at Wembley as Roberto Mancini's side saw off Spain in a blockbuster semi-final penalty shoot-out.
Gareth Southgate 's side have the chance to face the Italians in the final if they can see off Denmark, but Ferdinand was keen to jump a couple of steps ahead.
The former Manchester United defender believes England would have beaten whoever they face in the final and can win their first major tournament since 1966.
Following the post-match debrief of the game, host Gary Lineker cautiously looked ahead to showdown with the Danes.
However, Ferdinand couldn't help himself when asked who he would have preferred to face if the English can reach the final.
He said: "England, from their perspective, and I’ve been up here so many times, showing the confidence; it doesn’t matter who goes through here if you’re England.
"I believe England beat both of these sides. I just don’t feel anyone can compete with us right now.
"The confidence we’ve got; people might say I’m getting carried away. I don’t care.
"The way we are playing we beat both of these teams, but we’ve got to get through Denmark first."
