Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright to 'marry' in posh resort in Turkey this weekend

Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright have been engaged for what feels like an eternity, but the pair are said to be finally tying the knot this weekend.

The retired footballer, 40, and his former TOWIE star fiancée, 27, will reportedly marry in a posh resort in Turkey this weekend, where rooms go for up to £4,000 a night.

And the wedding is so high profile that guests have been told that phones are banned from the ceremony.

A source told The Sun: "All their family and friends are already there. Phones have been taken from everyone — nobody has one."

The couple have not made any hints that they're abroad on their Instagrams.

They are known for flooding the site with loved up snaps and videos of them exercising together.

Kate and Rio got engaged in November this year, with the sportsman popping the question in Dubai.

Both have celebrated their last nights of freedom, with Rio enjoying a typically wild stag do full of twerking girls and a pool party.

Kate and 16 friends jetted off to Mykonos in Greece for her hen do.

She used a suitcase with Rio's face printed on and was even gifted a cuddly toy made to look like him.

Since quitting TOWIE, Kate has embraced her role as step-mum to partner Rio's three children Lorenz, Tate and Tia, who sadly lost their mother to cancer in 2015.

Rio's children have welcomed Kate into their family and were even there when their dad got down on one knee.

Mirror Online has contacted and Kate and Rio's reps for comment.
