Chelsea forward Timo Werner starts for Germany against England, alongside Blues duo of Kai Havertz and Antonio Rudiger.
Werner, 25, has had an up-and-down season in front of goal, only managing a total of 13 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.
As a result, the ex-RB Leipzig striker has only featured two times from the bench in the group stages of Euro 2020, so it's a surprise to many Chelsea fans that he is starting in a game of this magnitude against England.
Despite the shock on social media, both Rio Ferdinand and Jurgen Klinsmann know just the devastating impact the 25-year-old can have on this game if England aren't careful.
Ferdinand pointed out one of Werner's key performances in the 2020/21 Premier League season to explain what problems he could potentially cause the England defence.
The ex-Manchester United player told the BBC: "Werner is the one player who can stretch the backline, he did it against Manchester City to a great effect and I think that’s why he is in there to do it today.
"He will get chances, he fluffed his lines in the Premier League but is a different proposition in the Germany shirt."
Ex-Germany international and fellow striker Jurgen Klinsmann believes Werner is the real deal, and consequently has praised Joachim Lowe for picking him in this contest.
Klinsmann said: "He is something special, the speed and he is unpredictable he can put you in trouble from one second to another. I know that he didn’t have the best season with Chelsea, he was crucial in the Champions League. I like that from Joachim Low (he gives) the trust in such a big game."
The Chelsea striker has scored 16 goals so far in 41 International appearances for Die Mannschaft, and will be looking to add to his goal tally tonight.
If Ferdinand's and Klinsmann's comments are anything to take at face value, then there is a good chance we could see Werner on the goal-scoring sheet tonight.
