Former TOWIE star Kate, 29, gave birth to a baby boy on Friday, December 18, a source told OK! magazine.

Kate has been a stepmother to Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and nine-year-old Tia since the pair tied the knot in 2019.

In June, Kate dropped her baby bombshell with the help of her hubby Rio much to the excitement of the kids.

The lovebirds decided to record the wholesome moment they told Lorenz, Tate and Tia that would get a brand-new sibling.

Alongside the video, the expectant mum wrote: “The crazy house is about to get a little bit crazier. Every time I watch this it makes me cry, the best reaction Baby Ferdy we are all so excited to meet you."

The first-time mum has taken her fans on her pregnancy journey by keeping them updated on her social media.

Just ten days ago the natural beauty revealed that she had been on bed rest after painfully tearing her stomach muscles.

During a candid Instagram Q&A, she explained that the injury happened about six weeks ago and resulted in her having to rest for three weeks which she says was tough on her mind.

In response to a fan asking her how she is feeling in the final stages of her pregnancy, the natural beauty typed alongside a snap of her burgeoning bump: "I'm surprisingly not feeling too bad the last few weeks. I'm tired but have been feeling much better."

Kate shared: "I tore my stomach muscles 6 or so weeks ago and was on rest for 3 weeks. I found that really difficult... and my mind was all over the place!"

She continued: "So now I'm just happy and grateful I can be out and walking and doing bits and bobs around the house."

After another follower asked her if she has been exercising during her pregnancy, she told: "I have trained for the majority of my pregnancy: Pilates and light gym work.

"But after tearing my muscles I was advised to rest so I did that for 3 weeks and am now just taking it easy & walking daily as I don't want to damage anything further.

"It is advised to stay active so I'm trying to keep moving as much as possible."

The blonde also gave fans a glimpse into what she is taking with her for the tot's arrival in a social media post.

And proving that she thought of s of everything, alongside the adorable babygros and tiny nappies, the Essex native filled her holdall with snacks for both her and Rio.

Sharing a picture of the heaving bags to Instagram, Kate joked: "The snacks are the most important thing for the hospital bag, right?"

The Only Way Is Essex alumni explained she'd been up all night sorting her kit as she told: "Had one of those nights where I am up doing random stuff all night. Staring at baby clothes and packing snacks."

Along with his and her bags bulging with crisps - carefully labelled - Kate also filled a third snack bag with biscuits and sweets.

She also showed off a fluffy fake fur babygro with bunny ears, personalised with the name 'Baby Ferdy'.

"We better decide on a name soon as everything says Baby Ferdy!" she wrote.

Kate and Rio tied the knot in a lavish three-day ceremony in Turkey last year.

In February, the step mum opened up about how Rio's three children used to talk about the pair having a baby "all the time".

At the time, Kate admitted she would have a lot to learn on the baby years but admitted that she had got enough first-hand experience to give it a shot.

Earlier in the year, Rio, who lost his first wife Rebecca to breast cancer in 2015, revealed that he was hoping for a baby girl.

An insider told heat: "Obviously Kate and Rio would be delighted with a boy or a girl - having a problem-free pregnancy and a healthy baby are what matters most to them."

“But all the kids would love a little sister and they think a little girl would complete the family after the loss of their dear mum.

"Rio loves his two boys, but he absolutely dotes on Tia and would love another little princess," they added.

Due to the fact it was Kate's first pregnancy, the telly star admitted that she would be happy with either sex.
