Rio and Kate Ferdinand were amused to receive a 'reality check' as they posed for photos on a romantic date.
The loved-up couple, who are enjoying some quality time together on holiday, were dressed up for their night out.
But they saw the funny side when they received an outspoken message back from one of the children which didn't hold back.
Step mum Kate received a voice message on her phone which she couldn't hear because they were out.
So she asked them to type instead.
"I said you look really nice Kate," they told her.
"Dad looks wrecked you look a bit tired as well Kate."
She shared the message, and the photos in question, on her Instagram with the words: "Can always count on the kids for a reality check."
"Liberties tho," commented former Manchester United footballer Rio with laughing-face emojis.
And he complimented his wife by posting 'stunna' with flame emojis.
"No presents back for them," laughed another follower.
"I feel your pain my kids are this savage with me," said another.

Kate, 30 previously shared a picture of the couple sharing a smooch with the words: "Some well needed US time."
Kate married her 'soulmate' Rio, 42, with a three day celebration in Turkey in 2019.
Rio’s sons, Lorenz, 15, and Tate, 13, walked Kate down the aisle.
The Reds legend, who also has a 10-year-old daughter Tia with his late wife Rebecca Ellison, chose a helipad at Abu Dhabi's St Regis Hotel to propose to former The Only Way Is Essex star Kate.
They welcomed Cree, their first child together, in December and Kate recently posted pictures of herself now and just before he was born while speaking of her journey as a new mum.

"My baby is 9 months old, I can’t believe it.
"I felt like 9 months of pregnancy dragggggged but just like that this last 9 months have just flown by.
"I took this photo on the day I had Cree and comparing the two photos - it’s truly unbelievable what our bodies can do."
She added: "After giving birth I truly never thought I would feel myself again, and honestly everything is a bit more wobbly than before but I feel so much happier, I am in awe of the fact I have produced my beautiful baby boy and super proud of the woman I have become.
"I’ve definitely eased up on the pressure I add to myself; I’ve never really had a healthy relationship with my body, but watching what it has done for me and my baby this last 18 months is nothing short of incredible.
"I love to work out, but for me these days it is much more about the mind and how it makes me feel rather than how I look.
"Be proud of yourselves mums, we are amazing."
