Rinku Singh sweats it out in nets ahead of first T20I against Australia in Visakhapatnam

NEW DELHI: As the Indian cricket team prepares to face Australia in the opening T20I of the five-match series, batter Rinku Singh engaged in a rigorous training session in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 finalists are set to take on title-winners Australia in a highly anticipated five-match T20I series, commencing with the first game on Thursday in Visakhapatnam.

Rinku, part of the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team, shared glimpses of his intense practice session on Instagram. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player had previously made his India debut against Ireland, showcasing his prowess with a notable performance, scoring 75 runs at a strike rate of 208.33 in two matches. Additionally, he was a member of India's Asian Games title-winning squad in China.

The leadership responsibility for the five-match T20I series against Australia rests with Suryakumar, the number one-ranked T20I batter. The subsequent matches are scheduled in Thiruvananthapuram on November 26, Guwahati on November 28, Raipur on December 1, and Bengaluru on December 3.
