Rihanna slams selfish fans who pester for album amid dad's coronavirus diagnosis

Rihanna has scolded demanding fans after they have continued to pester the singer for a new album.

The Diamonds singer, 32, warned her music followers to back off, especially during the sensitive times the world is facing right now due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, which her father is unfortunately dealing with.

Last week, pop icon Riri revealed that she bought a ventilator and sent it to her dad's house after he fell ill with coronavirus.

And now, the Barbados native has taken the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, as she blasted US president Donald Trump for his destruction and lack of common sense during the pandemic, while simultaneously asking her fans to stop with the pestering.

The pop princess has been teasing the arrival of her new record – dubbed R9 – since 2018, and promised in an Instagram comment last year that it would be definitely released by the end of 2019.

However, as it's now the fourth month into 2020, the singer's die-hard fans are getting rather annoyed and have begun to plague her with questions and queries every waking day.

Rihanna last released an album was over four years ago with her 2016 hit ANTI.

The S&M singer has instead decided to focus on her growing fashion and cosmetic businesses, Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and her new Fenty Maison fashion brand.

While streaming on Instagram Live this weekend, Rihanna decided that she had had enough of fans constantly asking about her long-rumored, upcoming ninth album.

In a moment of rage, the singer hissed: "If one of you asks me about the album one more time when I’m trying to save the world, unlike y’all president".

The Barbadian singer, 32, was quick to provide the breathing device to her father Ronald Fenty after he tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking to The Sun, Ronald revealed how grateful he was for all the efforts the singer went to for him.

Ronald said: "My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day.

"I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn."

The starlet has donated $5 million to global coronavirus relief via her Clara Lionel Foundation.

As well as that, she has also pledged to donate another $1 million alongside Jay-Z to help those in New York and Los Angeles which are both recognised as two of the worst hit cities across America.
