Rihanna has won praise for the diverse and body-positive line-up of models she employed to walk in her Savage x Fenty lingerie show as part of New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
Alongside sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, two pregnant models walked the runway, including 22-year-old Slick Woods.
Models Duckie Thot, Joan Smalls and Leomie Anderson also starred in the show, which has been lauded for its range of body shapes and sizes.
The much-anticipated show took place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on September 12 in New York.
Singer, designer and entrepreneur Rihanna’s latest lingerie collection includes plunging bodies, semi-sheer bralets and frilly knickers.
In a Garden of Eden-inspired setting, complete with waterfall, stream, sand and grass, the models walked hand in hand - whether in heels, mules or barefoot - danced and reclined on rocks.
After a serene start to the show - which was undeniably much more of a performance than your standard runway - the beat kicked in and the models began swinging their arms like apes, led by Gigi who was strutting across the grass in stilettos.
The expertly choreographed show was over 15 minutes long and has been widely praised online after it was live-streamed on YouTube.
While designers are increasingly casting models of a range of body shapes, sizes and races, as well as pregnant women, this season’s New York Fashion Week has still featured overwhelmingly slim women.
