Rihanna's brutal comeback to 'ignorant' fan's morning routine criticism

We slather on SPF to stop us from being burnt by the sun, but it'll stop you from being burnt by Rihanna too as she hit out at an 'ignorant' fan who criticised her morning routine.

With her successful Fenty beauty range, the 32-year-old pop star knows a thing or two about how best to protect your skin.

Wearing a cream lacy bra and a navy New York Yankees bucket hat, she gave her 87.4 million Instagram fans an important lesson on SPF as she promoted her new travel size Fenty Skin Start'r Set.

With a few streaks of the Hydra Vizor moisturiser on her cheeks and a dot on the tip of her nose, she wrote: "Just protecting my melanin while they try to eradicate it."

But one fan was confused as to why Rihanna had just applied suncream and the time of her post, commenting: "It’s winter now."

Schooling the troll on year-round skin protection she wrote back: "It’s the ignorance for me! You gon have wrinkles if you think spf is seasonal. But continue."

Rihanna told Yahoo Entertainment that she believes her prior lack of knowledge about SPF could be the cause of her hyper-pigmentation, saying: "Growing up on an island, you’re exposed to the sun every day.

"So you always thought that SPF was a tourist thing, and especially not for Black people.

"I have learned the hard way, because over time the sun wasn’t that kind to my skin and my skin was not that resilient. So I started to have hyper-pigmentation in certain areas."

This fuelled Rihanna to launch her 2-in-1 sunscreen-moisturizer which has SPF 30 in.

According to the Fenty Beauty site: "Hydra Vizor is 2-in-1 sunscreen-moisturizer that’s lightweight, oil free, and truly invisible on all skin tones. It claps back at dehydration, discoloration, and dark spots.

"And plays well with makeup, too: Zero flashback. Bonus, it’s refillable!"
