Rihanna poses nude to celebrate her new book launch

Rihanna has celebrated the release of her new 'visual autobiography' in the most Rihnana way - posing in the nude with her new photographic memoir against a floral backdrop.

Her book, titled simply The Rihanna Book, was released this week and she said it was “crazy to look back” at her journey to stardom.

The book includes over 1000 images, 504 pages and personal additions like the star's old school report cards (she was an “consistent worker who takes pride in doing her work well”, according to one teacher).

She shared a photo on Instagram of herself with the gigantic coffee table book placed over her torso, wearing what appeared to be nothing but jewellery and a pair of pink sunglasses matched to the hue of her book and flowers behind her.

She wrote, “It’s crazy to look back at all of the memories and be able to share these precious moments with you!”

Her celebrity friends congratulated her on the launch, with Gigi Hadid leaving a heart emoji and Zendaya declaring, “Period.”

Rihanna's book went on sale exclusively at Harvey Nichols on October 19, it's now available at other stores including Waterstones. It is published by Phaidon and besides the version Rihanna is seen posing with, there are three additional limited editions.

The Rihanna book

One, titled the Fenty x Phaidon edition, also comes with a bookstand modelled on Rihanna’s tattooed hands. The other two more expensive editions were made in conjunction with the Haas Brothers: a $5,500 Luxury Supreme edition and a $75,000 Ultra Luxury Supreme edition (the latter of which has already sold out, according to Marianne Boesky Gallery).

The memoir reveals rare photographs of the singer, which includes images of her wincing as she has her iconic chest tattoo done and smoking a cigar with Jay-Z and Beyonce at her 23rd birthday.

The Rihanna Book is priced at £120 and is available in Waterstones and Harvey Nichols.
