Rihanna has sent a heartfelt appeal for information after her former backup dancer was reported missing.
Police in New Bergen, New Jersey say they have listed Shirlene Quigley as a missing person in social media posts shared on Monday.
The 32-year-old is believed to have been seen by her landlord on Saturday and again in another reported sighting at a Manhatten bus terminal on Sunday. Police say they are currently following all leads in the case.
The force also says Ms Quigley’s cell phone has been recovered by NYPD and they located her vehicle based on a reading from an automatic license plate reader.
Ms Quigley is a professional dancer and has worked for Rihanna, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Jamie Foxx and Missy Elliot.
On Monday, Rihanna shared a video of Ms Quigley along with an appeal for information.
“This beautiful soul and former dancer of mine is MISSING!,” the “Stay" singer wrote. “My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!”
Missy Elliot also issued an appeal on Instagram, writing: “Need help from the whole dance community to spread the word! Those who have met her know her spirit is always bubbly and kind and kind”.
Ms Quigley’s website says her dance career took off after dancing in Beyonce’s video for “Crazy In Love” - the song which catapulted the singer to solo stardom after her time in Destiny's Child.
