Rihanna has cancelled a concert in Jakarta, following an alleged assault case involving her boyfriend Chris Brown. The star was due to play the Indonesian capital on Thursday night. It is Rihanna's third cancelled appearance since the alleged assault on Sunday, the other cancelled dates being the Grammys and a Malaysian show earlier in the week.
Brown has been released on $50,000 bail after being charged with making a criminal threat. Police were called to the LA suburb of Hancock Park in the early hours of Sunday, after a witness reported hearing a woman screaming on the street. The identity of the woman – who suffered visible facial injuries and identified Brown as her attacker – has not been made public. However, police sources have told the LA Times that Rihanna's real name, Robyn Fenty, is listed on the crime report.
The LAPD are still investigating the case, and it is possible Brown could be charged with a more serious domestic violence case.
