Rihanna and Jay-Z send pensioners flowers after recreating her Super Bowl performance on TikTok

Rihanna and Jay-Z sent flowers to an assisted living facility in Kentucky after they recreated the singer’s Super Bowl halftime performance on TikTok.

The residents of Arcadia Senior Living Bowling Green went viral on TikTok last month when they uploaded a video of them recreating Rihanna’s performance of Rude Boy at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

In light of the video garnering over 30million views, the facility shared on Facebook that Jay-Z had sent them a 100 red roses.

The note attached to the delivery read: “We love the TikTok here at Roc Nation!” referring to the entertainment agency founded by the rapper.

It is also reported that the Bajan songstress sent a bouquet of flowers to the ladies of Arcadia Senior Living to congratulate them on their newfound social media success.

Buzzfeed reports that the delivery, which has left them “in shock”, came with a note that called their dance “amazing”.

Paige Oakes, the centre’s director of community relations, told the publication: “We were just in shock.

“This whole time, we’ve just been waiting for a response from Rihanna – not really thinking that it would ever happen because we know she’s busy and we didn’t really know if she saw it or not.

“It made our day knowing that it reached her and she got to watch it and enjoy seeing our residents dancing to her music and having fun.”

Fans will next see Rihanna at this weekend’s Oscars, where her song Lift Me Up, written for Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is nominated for Best Original Song.

Not only that, but she will perform her hit at Sunday’s ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
