'Right time' - Vinnie Jones makes bold Leeds United prediction ahead of Arsenal clash

Leeds United are coming up against Arsenal at just the right time, according to Vinnie Jones.

Leeds take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday (February 14, 4.30pm kick-off).

Marcelo Bielsa's side have won three of their previous four matches, most recently beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Elland Road on Monday night, thanks to goals from Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford.

That took the Whites up to 10th in the table, with 32 points from their 22 league fixtures so far.

They are one place and one point above Arsenal, who have played a game more.

Mikel Arteta's side have taken only one point from their past three matches, having suffered back-to-back defeats at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa.

Former Leeds star Jones is backing his old team to come out on top in north London.

"Bielsa’s boys take on Arsenal this week and I reckon they’ve got the Gunners at the right time," he said in his latest Easyodds column.

"The north Londoners are struggling at the moment after racking up some good wins - and that’s been the way for so many teams this season. Except (Manchester) City."

Reflecting on the victory against the Eagles, Jones added: "I loved Leeds’s win against Palace on Monday night. That was a lovely three points for the lads.

"It was a proper win against a dogged and well-organised team in Palace.

"There was more control about this performance from Leeds - they still played great football but didn't leave themselves open to the counter.

"It’s how they must play against the better teams now."
