Rifle stolen in Theodore burglary

A rifle, ammunition and a large sum of cash were stolen when offenders broke into a house in Theodore on Monday, police say.

Police said the burglars broke into the home in Stubbs Crescent between 10.30am and 1.15pm.

They stole the firearms safe, which contained the .22 rifle, the ammunition and the cash. The offenders also stole several other undisclosed items from the house.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam or CCTV in the Theodore area between 10am and 1.30pm that has not already spoken to police to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website, and quote reference 6694508. Information can be provided anonymously.
