Ridvan Yilmaz shares emotional Rangers farewell message after Besiktas move

Ridvan Yilmaz shared an emotional farewell message after his Rangers transfer exit.

The full-back left Ibrox to join Besiktas on a permanent transfer for a fee of around £2m.

Yilmaz, 24, was informed he would have no future at Rangers under Russell Martin this season and landed a move back to his homeland.

After three years in Glasgow, the defender posted a message to his "Rangers family".

He wrote: "Dear Rangers family, thank you so much for all the support during my 3 years at the club.

"I will always remember you with great affection.

"You truly deserve even more than what you’ve achieved, and I wish you nothing but success."

"I can't wait to wear the Beşiktaş jersey again. I've been away from here for three years, but I still follow Beşiktaş.

A Rangers statement on Saturday, read: "We can today confirm Ridvan Yilmaz has joined Besiktas for an undisclosed fee.

"Everyone at Rangers thanks Ridvan for his contribution while at the club, and we wish him well for his future career."
