Besiktas are not the only club hot on the heels of Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz.
It had been thought the left-back was on the brink of returning to his former club in his Turkish homeland but they are facing competition to land him.
As per the Rangers Review, Besiktas are indeed the frontrunners to sign the 24-year-old. However, reports they are on the verge of announcing him are premature.
Other clubs on the continent are interested in a deal and are keeping close tabs on the player Russell Martin wants to sell on after omitting him from recent squads.

A right-back by trade, loan signing Max Aarons has been picked at left-back ahead of Yilmaz and Jefte after being given the former's number three jersey on arrival. Yilmaz was told he would not be part of the plans.
