Ridiculous moment woman called police to remove 'massive' spider from her house

Police have spoken out after a woman dialled 999 to request the removal of a 'massive' spider from her house.

An audio clip posted by West Yorkshire Police reveals the moment the woman asks the call operator to send someone to remove the eight-legged creature from her house, reports Yorkshire Live. The woman said: “Hiya, you’re probably gonna go mad at me right but I’ve literally tried ringing everyone and you’re my last hope.

"I need someone to come and get this spider out of my house. It’s absolutely massive and I’m not even joking!” The call operator responds: “Unfortunately the police wouldn’t be able to come and get a spider out of your house.”

Now, West Yorkshire Police are urging people to not call 999 unless it's an actual emergency. They claimed to receive "120 calls a day to our 999 line that are not a life or death emergency".

Social media users have also called out the women, stating that she "should be billed for wastin time".
