Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.
After months of intense speculation, the Reds are close to completing the signing of the 22-year-old centre-back.
Konate is expected to complete his move to Anfield within the next couple of days, as he competes with France for the Under-21 European Championships with action taking place from Monday.
Leipzig had a release clause of £36m in Konate’s contract, and Liverpool are set to pay the fee and make the centre-back Jurgen Klopp’s first signing of the summer.
After the latest update on Konate surfaced, plenty of Liverpool fans took to social media to express their thoughts and emotions.
