Cyclists stopped to try an help a man who collapsed during a charity bike ride last weekend.
Emergency services were called to Queensway tunnel, on Sunday, July 4, after reports a 64-year-old man from Liverpool had fallen ill.
The man, who was taking part in the Liverpool Chester Liverpool (LCL) Bike Ride, died at the scene.

A spokesperson for the LCL bike ride told the ECHO they'd like to thank those who stopped the ride to help the man.
LCL bike ride said: "During our 28th annual LCL bike ride - an all-inclusive, all-ability bike ride that brings communities together to raise much needed funds for local causes-on Sunday 4th July 2021; we can confirm a medical emergency occurred, involving one of our participants. Support was deployed immediately.
"Due to this medical emergency, the Queensway (Birkenhead) Tunnel remained closed off for several hours.
"In partnership with Merseytravel, we arranged for all other participants to return to Liverpool using the Mersey Ferries services and an adjusted finish route.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time, and we would like to thank the participants that stopped to support.
"All our love, The LCL Bike ride team."
However some of those taking part in the ride didn't find out about the tragedy until the end of the event.
On the ECHO's Facebook page, Winston Conradie said: "I did the bike ride yesterday and found out at the finish.... Very sad news."
Madge McCaffrey commented: "We did the ride and got back to the tunnel not knowing what had happened ! After a gorgeous day with our friends so very sad to hear this news! Rip."
Many other tributes were paid to the man, Phil Winston said: "Ride on brother xxx."
While Steven Thomas Earnest Roberts added: "So so sad to see this, sorry for the friends and the family, may the person Rest In Peace."
